Is it me or is December flying by?? I am a little behind with my own Christmas decorating and shopping this year. I hope that you are doing better than I am! lol
We decided to eek out another house project before the holidays. The bedrooms haven't been a high priority. You know...out of sight out of mind! The spare bedroom had become a dumping ground for all of the things that have no where else to go. We all have a room or closet like that, right? The spare bedroom was mine. It was time to tackle the stuff once and for all. Just in time for a Christmas makeover!
So, here we go!
Rich got to work painting the walls, ceiling, and trim. He also took down the white outdated dirty ceiling fan left by the previous owners.
Let's face it...it was gross! Finally, he laid new flooring and replaced the doors. Yay Rich!
Here is the finished room.
Maddie and I updated an old metal headboard and footboard with flat black spray paint. She has me obsessed with spray paint. It can transform anything! Who knew?
I am in love with the new gold sconces and hanging light fixture. The two rugs add lots of texture. I made the tartan plaid and jingle pillows. I am mad for all things plaid this holiday season!
Well hello pretty dresser!
Paint and new hardware and this dresser is now AMAZING! Rich made the NOEL a few years ago. The adorable wooden kid's skis were found at a local store, Beaver Antique Merchants. Perfect in this Christmas bedroom!
No guest room is complete without a cozy place to relax. The chair is one we previously reupholstered. I "shopped" my own house and brought it up from my studio. It's a perfect fit! The adorable holiday pillow is from another local store, Beavtown.
Is your guest bedroom holiday ready friends?
